The nominations for the BET Awards 2011 were announced earlier today on 106 & Park and Chris Brown leads everyone with 6 nods including Video of the Year and Best Male R&B Artist. Lil Wayne follows with 5 while Rihanna and Drake have 4 each. Full list after the jump.

Rihanna has made billboard history when “S&M” became her 10th number 1 song. The songstress broke records by having the shortest time span from her 1st number 1 hit, SOS on May 13, 2006, to her 10th number 1. The amount of time it took was four years, eleven months, and two weeks. Mariah Carey held the record before Rihanna did by taking five years and four months to have ten number 1's.IFWT

Bey, Nicki, and Em have joined many others in raising money for the Japan relief fund. Songs for Japan, a 38 track album, can be purchased on iTunes until next month when it will be available for actual purchase. The proceeds will be donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
