Music News: BET Awards 2011 Nominations Announced

 

The nominations for the BET Awards 2011 were announced earlier today on 106 & Park and Chris Brown leads everyone with 6 nods including Video of the Year and Best Male R&B Artist. Lil Wayne follows with 5 while Rihanna and Drake have 4 each. Full list after the jump.

A behind the scenes look at Game's new track "Red Nation" featuring Weezy. The music video was banned by MTV and BET for the gang affiliated content. However, don’t fear as the video will be released online tomorrow.

Music News: Game’s "Red Nation" Video Gets Banned By BET & MTV

Game is notoriously known to create stories but in this case, it seems legitimate. According to him, MTV and BET have refused to air his Lil Wayne featured video ‘Red Nation‘ terming it too “gang affiliated”. He will now release it himself this Thursday on multiple outlets on the internet. Read the tweets after the jump.

(UPDATE) New Video: Jennifer Lopez Ft Lil Wayne – "Im Into You"

Jennifer Lopez is without Lil Wayne in this music video despite the song being a collaboration between the two. The version with Lil Wayne will be premiering tooday on 106 & Park.


Update: Here’s the full version but still with no Lil Wayne. I know it has been talked that the version with Lil Wayne would be premiering tomorrow on 106 & Park but I don’t see why Vevo would release this version tonight. This would make 2 version so far, and if Lil Wayne joins in today, then 3 different versions. JLO is without Lil Wayne in this music video despite the song being a collaboration between the two. The version with Lil Wayne will be premiering today on 106th & Park.

Big Sean appeared on BET’s 106 & Park to premiere the video to his joint “My Last” with Chris Brown.
He also spoke about how he first rapped to Kanye West and subsequently got signed. Check out the My Last Video
