The nominations for the BET Awards 2011 were announced earlier today on 106 & Park and Chris Brown leads everyone with 6 nods including Video of the Year and Best Male R&B Artist. Lil Wayne follows with 5 while Rihanna and Drake have 4 each. Full list after the jump.

Music News: Lil Wayne On Unplugged Performance

Lil Wayne taped his MTV Unplugged performance this past Thursday in L.A. During his set, he also debuted “Nightmares of the Bottom” off the Carter IV . The Los Angeles Times was on hand and got Wayne’s take on his appearance. Weezy's Unplugged airs June 12th.

“It was humbling just to be a part of. As an artist that’s watched the game as closely as I did, to be on ‘Unplugged’ is a high honor,” Wayne said. “I’ve gotten people that haven’t texted me in a long time, text me today saying congratulations. It is that kind of thing. I felt great about it.”

Music News: Game’s "Red Nation" Video Gets Banned By BET & MTV

Game is notoriously known to create stories but in this case, it seems legitimate. According to him, MTV and BET have refused to air his Lil Wayne featured video ‘Red Nation‘ terming it too “gang affiliated”. Music News: Jadakiss Says He Recorded New Track With Lil Wayne, Drake & Young Jeezy For ‘Carter IV

Jadakiss just revealed to VIBE that he has recorded a track for Lil Wayne’s “Carter IV” and will be recording a track with Jeezy for TM103. The C4 track will feature Jada, Wayne,Drake and Jeezy. Jada’s “I Love You” mixtape drops May 24th.

“I just recorded a joint for Tha Carter IV,” says Jadakiss between tokes of his blunt. “I also got to do something for Jeezy’s TM103 today or tomorrow. Those joints are going to cover a lot of ground.”  

 “As far as I know it’s a 100%. It’s supposed to be me, Weezy, Jeezy and Drake—that’s what Mack told me. I can’t remember the name of the song but it’s pain on the record,” Jada tells VIBE.com. “It’s definitely some deep lyrics, not just some popping bottles sh*t.”
