Tribute Video: Celebrating Life & Legacy of Bob Marley


It’s not news Bob Marley was a marijuana smoker, in fact it is said that he smoke up until his death. It’s also a major part of the Rastafarian religion. Marijuana is considered the “wisdom weed” by Rastafarians, as its use helps them to gain wisdom. Rastafarians use it as a part of a religious rite and as a means of getting closer to their inner spiritual self, Jah (God) and Creation.

Music News: Warren G Records Nate Dogg Tribute, Plans To Release New Album With Late Rapper

Warren G vows to keep his friend’s name alive through music and is currently working on an EP honoring Nate Dogg that he wants to put out in the summer. He did a whole album with Nate Dogg that was never released, he says, so he’ll offer up some of those songs along with new collaborations that he plans to do with friends, collaborators, and admirers of Nate; E-40, DJ Quik, The Game, and B.o.B are among those who have expressed interest in participating. MTV
“Nate wasn’t just a hook man, he was a songwriter too,” he remembers. “He was just incredible. Back in the day I had seen how he could captivate the crowd when he sang. We’d be in the hood and he’d sing and everybody would just melt. I was like, ‘Nate, let’s go and let’s work, let’s make it happen and be successful.’ And we did that.”

Video: In Memory of DJ AM (Adam Goldstein) x Today’s is His Birthday


Adam Michael Goldstein (March 30, 1973 – August 28, 2009) was an American club DJ and musician better known as DJ AM. Goldstein was a member of the rock band Crazy Town, co-owner of a management company called Deckstar and worked on albums for Papa Roach, Madonna and Will Smith, among others. He was a frequent collaborator with Travis Barker of Blink-182 and appeared on several television series. On August 28, 2009, It was reported that Goldstein died of a drug overdose, gone but not forgotten.

Music Tribute: R.I.P Freaky Tah

Today marks the death of Raymond Rogers, better known as Freaky Tah. He was a member of the hip hop group the Lost Boyz with Mr. Cheeks, DJ Spigg Nice and Pretty Lou. On the night of March 28, 1999, at Mr Cheeks’ 28th birthday party, Freaky Tah was shot in the back of his head while he was going towards the exit of Sheraton Hotel. He was pronounced dead at about 4:20 AM, after being rushed to nearby Jamaica Hospital. The getaway driver, Raheem Fletcher, was sentenced to 7 years in prison. It was also revealed that a man named Kelvin Jones was the killer. Jones pleaded guilty to murder. Freaky Tah was 27 years old at the time of his death.

Music News: Nate Dogg Tribute At SXSW (Biggie Tribute after the Break)


Snoop, Warren G, The Dogg Pound honored the late Nate Dogg at SXSW last night in Austin. Regulators mount up once again. After the jump, Puff joins the tribute paying respects to B.I.G. and Pac as well.
