Yesterday, we got news that Wayne's new single would be dropping sometime this week. Then today Karen Civil comes through with the track. This new song is produced by Detail and will appear on Tha Carter IV this summer.

Music News: Lil Wayne On Unplugged Performance

Lil Wayne taped his MTV Unplugged performance this past Thursday in L.A. During his set, he also debuted “Nightmares of the Bottom” off the Carter IV . The Los Angeles Times was on hand and got Wayne’s take on his appearance. Weezy's Unplugged airs June 12th.
“It was humbling just to be a part of. As an artist that’s watched the game as closely as I did, to be on ‘Unplugged’ is a high honor,” Wayne said. “I’ve gotten people that haven’t texted me in a long time, text me today saying congratulations. It is that kind of thing. I felt great about it.”

Game is notoriously known to create stories but in this case, it seems legitimate. According to him, MTV and BET have refused to air his Lil Wayne featured video ‘Red Nation‘ terming it too “gang affiliated”. Due to popular demand, Lil Wayne has decided to extend his I Am Still Music Tour till September. That’s not all. Music News: Lil Wayne’s “Step-Brother” Track To “Lollipop” Is Coming

You all know LIl Wayne’s single, Lollipop. Yeah well he’s back with another single that Jim Jonsin (the producer of his new single) says will share similarities to Lollipop.
“It’s just a little slower and it has similar sounds in it, so people may relate it to the step-brother of ‘Lollipop.’ It’s also [got] completely different melodies and chords.”
Also, it seems as though the track hasn’t gotten an official name yet as they are choosing either “Blows My Brains” & “She’s Always in My Head“. Either way, no offence but those titles suck. Lil Wayne’s upcoming album, Tha Carter 4 is set to release June 21st. Source

Music News: Bangladesh Getting Sticked For His Paper

Here we go again. Bangladesh tells MTV that he has yet to receive compensation for producing Lil Wayne’s, “6’7“. He also states that instead of charging for a beat, he asked Wayne for a feature for his album, but never received that as well.
“It’s hard to do when I can’t get Wayne features. I don’t know if it’s the people around the situation or it’s the actual person. Every time we come up with a solution, it never gets taken care of. I just can’t keep really giving them music.”

On the New Orleans leg of Lil Wayne’s I Am Music 2 tour, he revealed to MTV that’s he’s filming a documentary based on the concert series. No word on whether it will hit the silver screen or the DVD bins. RR
“I just felt like a movie like that hasn’t come out in so long. At that time when they put those movies out, we as the fans were interested in what they were doing on the road. … Nobody hasn’t came around since then that was that interesting other than Young Money. It’s going to be real major; it’s going to be real big, I will eat real nice.”
