Sports News: Dodgers’ Andre Ethier Hit Streak Extends to 26

Los Angeles Dodgers right fielder Andre Ethier extended his major league-record for the longest April hitting streak to 26 games, the second-longest by any Dodgers player since the team moved to town from Brooklyn in 1958.
Ethier has hit safely in all but one of the Dodgers’ 28 games this season. Ethier added another single in the Dodgers’ loss Saturday, his 40th of the month, tying the club record for April — shared by Mike Piazza (1996) and Rafael Furcal (2008).
Ethier has 41 hits for the year, including one on Opening Day March 31.
